My ex-bass player, ANDRES LAFONE, is the band leader of Negrocan. I was very honoured that he asked me to re-mix their 12" single; I was glad to get my hands on it. By 1994 I was using organ in my bands' sound, and Negrocan and I had (and have) the same keyboard player, NEIL ANGILLEY - so I wanted an organ solo in this and various 'Batucada' carnival breaks. I completely restructured the original. For their album version that they recorded the following year, they actually used my structure for it, which I was pleased about. Lastly, Negrocan's drummer DAVIDE, is also my drummer and vocalist LILIANA sang the lead vocal on my 12" version of 'CASA FORTE'.
